i agree that it should sport the 't', Toyota and Lexus are not the same company, Lexus is a division of Toyota. thats like calling a Mercedes a Chrysler or a caddy a ford, or a Audi a vw.i hope with a v10 and super car abilities they can afford to keep the price tag down. a supra is not supposed to be something kids can only dream about. looks like the price tag is gonna get out of reach of the working man, in which case, to me, it will lose its prestige. i sure hope im wrong

^^I have to disagree. Toyota and Lexus is one in the same (http://www.theautochannel.com/news/p...ess005084.html). Toyota makes Lexus, Toyota didn't buy Lexus like Ford bought Mazda. I don't consider Lexus as just part of the Toyota umbrella, Lexus is basically the luxury toyota. Toyota is to Lexus as Honda is to Acura; Nissan to Infiniti. Yes they are a division but they are still the same company. Toyota and Lexus targets different demographics but that doesn't make them a different company. Toyota just uses "Lexus" to differentiate their Luxury target market....GENIUS. In addition, I agree with the Toyotas decision to have the new LF-A labeled under the Lexus brand because, like we all are weary about, their projected price will target that of the Lexus customer. Nissan was contemplating the switch to the Infiniti GTR (for the same reason-Pricing) but with the Skyline being older than most of us, and the Skyline history under Nissan, they had to keep the Skyline under the Nissan name. Anyways, it's all speculation until the actually announce a launch date. I hope they keep the design close if not exactly where it's at now. I'll be selling my left nut for one

i agree with you that the reason why they are doing that is to market the lexus customer because of prices. but it might sell 120% more if they'd keep it with toyota. instead it would seem that they are just releasing a new sports car under lexus. if they re-release the supra there will be a crapload more people much more interested. and just like you ill prolly be to the sperm bank in a couple of days to start saving.

Here's more recent info on the LF-A. The test mule beats out the GT2 and will be expected to go on sale in '09. Skyline who??? Also look for the Acura competitor also coming in '09. Time to play lotto
