it's not worth it from a power standpoint, however, it does clean up the intake track and adds some bling under the hood

There needs to be more info, what are your plans for the car? Are you going to add a turbo later? If not then go ahead, you won't notice a lot of difference but hey every little bit helps. Be carefull about choosing a cold air though as most do not have a trap to keep you from sucking water into your engine. I just replaced an engine for a kid for that reason. AEM makes a nice one.

i wouldn't say its a waist of money or not worth it, not only does it free up available horsepower, but in doing so it helps increase economic value and like notch said, gives you some under the hood bling. if your concerned about the cost and dont plan on creating a track car, a short ram intake should take care of your needs, and its cheaper and eliminates the worry of sucking....in water

i had several injected mustangs and on one i had a nitrous backfire once ( due to a faulty nos solenoid ) and it blew the stock airbox up, i took the opportunity to buy a cold air kit and guess what, the car ran the exact same times in the 1/4 on both the motor and nos,
