Wait a sec, what ECU are you running? Your stock ECU with the 98 motor?

Your injectors are the wrong style for the year car that you have. If your running the 2k injectors with the 90 wiring harness then your teg isn't gonna start up because they're a different type of injector all together. You'll have to swap out the 2k injectors for the 90 ones to get it to start because of the injector resistor box that comes on the obd0 tegs. Not only that but the ecu that you have in there is not going to run the 90 injectors because its not programmed to do so. Thats the problem with swaping obd0 or obd1 to obd2 motors. What you should do if you have swapped over to an obd2 wiring harness is get a obd2 to obd1 ecu conversion harness and get an obd1 ecu and have it tuned to for dsm 450 injectors since you already have the resistor box it will be a sinch to wire up the injectors to run with your setup. But the problem is definitely an injector problem. The ecu simple can make the injectors function because the ecu to injector signal is not right.

- i ripped out everything from the 90 teg..everything means all the seat, seat belts, complete wireharness from the back to the front to the engine bay..i put my 2000 gsr harness in=main harness and engine bay harness.the injector resister box has been taken out..i'm running obd2 everything..nothing is obd0 or obd1...fuel pump works i can hear it, fuel pump relay works becuz it clicks, all the wireing is plugged..my fue rail reads 42 psi on the gauge and i can hear gas flowing through fine, i have sparks, a friend of mines sed that there is spark but not strong enough to get to the spark plugs, when i spray starting fluid to the throttle body it works.. the car cranks but doesnt come on..check engine light is not on..my car is at a smog shop and the person who owns that shop is saying the ecu is not telling the injectors to pulse...i dont want to buy a new ecu if my ecu is not messed up..the 2000 gsr had only 64,744 miles on it. i dont think that the ecu is messed up in the inide.. ------there is one thing missing-i'm gonna try to make this as clear as possible... under the dash next to the fuse box there are three relays..it has four connecters ( i forgot what color the wires were) but i have 2 plugged and 1 is missing..the one that is missing is the one that is knida next to the clutch pedal..never knew wut that was..other then that ......thAats all i can think of..than for tryna help...i really do appreciate it.. |
