ok well i went to this audio shops invitation only sell they were having today
(yes, im important enough to get an invitation i guess! )
but anywho
they put raffle tickets in a bucket
got 1 just for coming
and 3 more for buyin the subs
so i got 4 tickets total
and they will draw them tomorow...hope i win something
but anyway
they had a KICK butt deal on these JL 12's
they are used yes
but they told me they would still offer a year warranty (same as the manufacturers warranty) on them through the store
so if something happens..they will replace them
but ok heres the deal
the setup i got is

2 JL 12" W6 Subs
and a custom box for them, ported and tuned
they are used...but still work just fine and everything
they were tied to 2 ohms...
but since i bought them
he took them out and tied it to 1 ohm for me

and a while ago..i bought the memphis 1000 watter
they said that will push it just fine (bought it from the same place)
but anyway
i got the subs and box for 500 bucks...533 w/ tax
thats a freakin STEAL
just 1 of those subs costs that much...so i got 2 subs and a box for the price of 1 sub
the normal setup would have costed me 1250 or so...maybe more
so i got that at a really good deal
and got me a memphis 4 gauge wire kit for 70 bucks
so i got it all down now
and im goin to set up an appointment on sat. to have it hooked up
i could hook it up myself..but it would take me a lot longer, and they know exactly what they are doing
so yeah just though id let ya know hehe

yea they did he said that. nice steal ive done that before i bought some 6x9 used i forget the orignal price and how much i paid i know it was close to 100$ difference and they worked forever i had them 400 wat amp and they was 1000w 5-way power akoustic (how ever they spell it).
that set up should sound pretty clean ive always been happy with memphis.

lol i like sound systems....besides they beat my car apart....literally
with this setup the guy said that if i get a new battery, possibly 2
and maybe a cap
and play the right note...somewhere around 45Hz...that i can get in the 140's or 150's DB range :O

for how much ive spent on it...thats freakin awesome! ive gotten the setup for 900 so far
thats 2 subs, box, and amp
but im goin to get it installed tomorrow
they dont have a DB meter...but i can still see how loud it is
