Haha! I have no clue why I got the 8-way speakers, I figured they'd be pretty freak'n awsome when I hook up an amp to it.

I have 5-way Pioneer's in my back deck and I have them on a 300 watt amp. You literally hear sounds that shouldnt be produced with speakers. It will eventually get to the point of you getting a head ache until you get used to the high pitched sounds like that.

My car did that to me when I first put my components in and got the tweeter pods. Will probly do it to me again when I upgrade and get the 3-way component set and a get a bigger amp for them.
