Post DIY CYL. HEAD LMA aseembly d16z6

Bored today & I had the day off, so Here's the beginning of my LMA assembly for those of you who plan to attempt the same thing! My Valves, springs & retainers etc, were not removed from the head. If you have any thoughts, or edits feel free to correct me! This is my cyl head cherry......POP!:thehump:

Materials needed:
Red Line assembly lube ( in my case 5w30 & a liquid detergent cap)
12mm
10mm
Straight edge (in my case , my left eye)

OPTIONAL:
Valve adjustment nut tool (avail. through snap-on, etc)
Feeler Gauges

1. Make sure head is clean (have it checked by your local shop if need be)

2. Lubricate cam bearing area, & gallies

3. Pour oil all over cam make sure it is heavily lubricated (this step works best w/ assm. lube, :slap keeps work area cleaner! install cam very gently, make sure cam aligns w/ cam bearing area. USING A STRAIGHT EDGE TO MAKE SURE CAM IS AT TDC _ markings should look like >>> - UP -

4. Add rocker assebly. I have no pics, BUT YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT THE LIFTERS LARGEST POLISHED SQUARE AREA/SIDE FACES DOWN TOWARDS CAM & THE SMALL TAB FACES UPWARDS NEAR INTAKE MANIFOLD SIDE! If it is done correctly you will know exactly what I'm speaking about!

5. Add Motion assemblies, cap & 12mm bolts, hand tighten. then add the 4 10mm bolts and hand tighten...once all tightened torque to spec each d-series will be different,
12mm bolts 14 ft lbs.
10mm bolts 11, 12, 13, 14 8.7ft lbs.

6. Now adjust valve lash according to engine setup...
