I think it would be a cheaper to find a lower mile used engine and have it on hand as a backup just in case. If you're current high mile GA was maintained properly and not abused in it's lifespan, I'd boost it without hesitation. These kits are not super power kits, so you don't need "built" motors with forged pistons, etc. Just be willing to buy premium fuel from now on.

I'm not aware of anyone who has dynoed one of these kits because like me, if you're buying a budget kit, you probably don't have any money in the budget for dyno sessions. Remember that the Superior kit and the Extreme kits differ in power, as one has an intercooler [highly recommended] and the Superior doesn't. You could always add your own later. If I remember right, TSI is claiming 30% more power for the cheaper Superior kit [that's what I have] and I would say it is easily all they claim. My 110 h.p GA16DE is as fast as my 140 h.p. SE-R now. I am very happy with it.

My friend my take on this whole situation is this if this is your everyday car conversions and turboring a normal aspirated is headache too much down time. Either its quick from birth or leave it alone. On the other hand if this is not your everyday car and its your project car there is no short cut go all the way or else its going to BITE u in the ASS close to your back pocket (Wallet).

If you are not capable of tuning any given system, you're right, there will likely be trouble. But in my case, my setup works perfectly and I checked it with a wide band. I have documented my install [with plenty of pics] on page 2 of THIS thread.

Cool project my friend, maybe this guy can learn a lot from you hook up and teach him a few stuff. That's what we are all here for.

P.S. Do not leave out the bad stuff.

hi guys,

i have been meaning to turbo my car for a long while now and im really really interested in this kit, BUT im from australia and my ride is a nissan pulsar n15.
it is a ga16de but i am not sure if this kit is compatible with my car.

aside from the given different body shape, im not too sure if the exhaust will meet to the turbo etc. or if the intercooler will route as it would if it were on a sentra.

=( what is everyone's opinion?

My guess is that the kit will need some tweaking to get it to fit your N15. Particularly the downpipe. The TSi kit is a generic kit made to fit the B14 cars. I had to modify the downpipe and charge piping to make it fit my B12, but yes it can be adapted to fit most any car with a GA16DE.

im sure i can speak for everyone here that its very rare to see this kind of modification to a sentra especially a ga16de but you are also very right about the down time and everything else...me personally being young and livin to smoke cars with a sleeper im all for it as long as the cash is comin in and the parts are at my doorstep!
