As some of yall know..im strippin my car down for primer and new kit and paint..inorder to fit my new kit i of course have to remove the old one..and dreadfull task i tell ya....as im looking at the 1990 front bumper im thinking what a pain its gona be to remove solo..do to its big crome gerth..as i dread my next task i ponder how to remove it safly so that it does not fall and render my feet with briuse...the bumper was held on by 2 supports with 3 bolts on each side witch i found to be loose allready..humm....i took all except 2 off..1 on each side..as i started to remove the last bolts..i positiond my leggs to hold the bumper in place so as i free it the weight of the bumper will be supported...i removed the last bolt and to my suprize...the bumper was all plastic and weighed maybe 10 lbs...plastic..go figure..and here ithought i might be holding 60 lbs the whole time...ps..made in china

workin on getting a new kit..after i receave the new one...ill mod a 5mile under it to hide it out of I shape iron..that way i add a little safty to the mob and still keep it light..i talked to mercedes about it and they said the owner before me probly sold the bumper on it as it is rare couse of its shape and replaced it with a plastic one...a 5mile bumper i can keep to around 5lbs..and hope that works for what i have in mind.
