Default 420A block swap?

Has anyone pulled out a 420A, built it and put it back in? How involved is it and how long should it take to just pull it out and put one back in? Is a complete rebuild on the bottom end, valve springs and retainers, head gasket fairly easy and painless or is it a pain in the ass?
