Default Oil Pressure

Okay i was at the store looking for an Oil Filter for my car. Turns out the store ran out of the filter that I needed which was a Fram PH3593A, so the guy told me to use a smaller filter for my car instead which was a Fram PH60 something. I asked him what's the difference he says the 60 is smaller but creates more oil pressure for my car which is good for racing. So what exactly does increased oil pressure do?

hmm I'm not sure i would want to down size on a oil filter.. Increased oil pressure would be ok to a point. In theory it would supply more lube to all your engine components but to much and it would push seals out of place

Yeah i was thinking the same thing, but so far the car runs just fine. Actually the clanking noise in my engine is gone. But so far so good, just another 3000 miles before my next oil change. I think i'll just put the original one back on for my next change.
