Bought my Lude 3 years ago as just the base F22 model. Everything stock.
Paid 8k for it. Not so bad and I liked it alot better then the Del Sol I blew up. And even better then the accord before that. Now i seem to be stuck in that limbo most car guys can relate to at some point. Ive got a 90% complete turbo kit sitting on the floor of my basement laid out all pretty. Cant put it on though cause i need just a few more things. Sucks so bad every time I go down there to do laundry andsee it all shiny and begging me to install it. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGG ![]() |

A guy that was trying to open his own shop...underground performance in colorado springs
Im over it really. Ive been teaching myself all the tuning and mod tricks while ive been repairing it. Still got a way to go though. Ive pretty much got it running smooth as silk bone stock. Now its time for turbo... The H22 pulls after about 3500 RPM before that And to top off my month...the sproket that drives my speed sensor is broken. I guess these trannies have litle plastic pieces that hold them together. Its all good though Another maybe 5 months and it will be good to start putting together and put on the dyno. Im thinking Neptune for management |

That sucks man. I wish I could help you but I dont' know shit about hondas=(
FYI: Rich man once told me...the only way to be rich is to have your own business where people work for you. ONly thing you do when you have a job is that you're making someone else rich. I have my own business now for 10years and I will never look back ; ).

i did and even so... in this area i don't know any one or any places but back home i figured if i could rent a small garage and had a helper i would cost me about 10K... But i do realize that i could be over thinking the things i "need" and adding in a few that i want... still being new to TN i don't know where to start on something like that and i don't have much time eather

Yeah...most of the guys I know that started thier own shops had to take out large business loans. Its hard to do. You gotta be in a good town for it. It wouldnt help to try opening a tuner shop in a farm town where everybody drives big redneck trucks with "kill imports" bumper stickers on. You also gotta spend money to put yourself out there and get seen and heard. Advertising is key but can be expensive. The shops that I know of started small though and then just grew as thier "rep" grew. But hey man most of the pleasure I get from my car is from driving and wrenching on it myself.

im helping a friend out right now start his shop. i do it all on my free time since he bitches about losing the shop im helping get him some business and work on the cars for free. nice thing is i can use the shop for my car
. i have a feeling his shop is not going to last long. if you open a shop know what your doing get backing from friends and realtives first. save up some money first in case you cant make a payment becuase you had been slow.

and thats the truth... you have to have the "in case" saving to keep you going. Having lots of backing does make a large difference. Aside from friends and family you want to make sure you put some efforts into giving in to the local community. Having the shop "sponsor" little things.. Its a lot easier said than done because its all about money
