Default Short Shifter

To anyone that is serioulsy debating weather a short throw shifter is worth it......... Oh my freaking god it is.......... my cars shifting pattern was so worn out due to my old shifter..... so I put a new one in and it was an amazing difference it the way everything looked and more importantly how it felt and to be honest it is a cheap ass improvement and is totally worth the 40 bucks I spent on one........ and it was easy ass hell to put in....... one minor thing they forget to mention is that when you get a short throw shifter it changes the pivot point so you have more throw on the bottom then the top.... thus the name....... the only problem that I felt is that your shifter linkage sits alot lower then it was before...... mine hit the heat shield so I just cut a section out of it and problem solved........ and for the people who cut there shifter shorter at the top it does nothing........ it is all about changing the pivot point.......... to whoever reads this I recommend getting a short throw shifter strongly...........

peace.........

Default Re: Short Shifter

Lol Yeah they are great.. A LONG time ago i had a 88 CRX and as much as i loved the car i used it to tease a lot of ricers... cardboard pannels duct taped to the side with magic marker body kits. cereal box Spoiler... Oh the best was when the stock muffler got "broken" off (I know some one tripped over the tips and kicked it.. ( Any way.. i cut a hole in a coffie can and mounted it on the end of the pipe..that was really funny... but yeah i did use a saws-all on the shifter but it was just because i was bored...
