good evening, I Recently acquired a 1991 camaro RS 305 tbi w/700r4 trans, the car sat outside for 5 years, filled with water in the rear well, but did fire right off, after a new battery and fuel, the rear coils were shot, i replaced the front struts and rear shocks, also just last week got a set of coil springs, off a 90 z-28 much improved however, the car squeks after every little bump, probably bushings have new front sway w/prothane bushings, but have,nt installed as yet, could a complete bushing kit (body) solve my problem, thanks for any and all help, and im glad to be a member. sincerely Dhighway.

Hey there and Welcome to PSO. A body bushing kit would proly help out the car as im sure many of them are ready to be replaced. The squeaking might be caused be a missing bushing in which case just replacing it would help. If all the bushings are there try lubing all the rubbing points with WD40 and see if that helps. some times after installing the new ones they squeak the WD should quiet it

try isolating where the sounds coming from, it might be that when you installed the coils, you mgiht have squished a bushing or collar where you shuldnt have. good luck

Well i tried the WD-40, and it seemed to help the squeeks, from the rear, but this weekend I installed a aftermarket front sway bar w/poly bushings, well the car handle,s great and stay,s planted in the corner,s! but you guessed it!! bigtime squeeks now in the frontend, all I can say is it,s a labor of love, i think i,ll move on to prepping the car for paint, probably develop mre squeeks, after that. Thanks Guys for all your great advice, cya on the site. Dhighway.

you are supposed to grease poly bushings before u install them, or else they'll squeak
