Ok here is a perfect example of how a part that costs no more than $.10 can cause $2000 in damages. A little history before the fix Hyundai Tiburons have little part in the clutch that slow the fluid that engages the clutch, slipping occurs, and eventually you WILL need to replace the clutch and flywheel between 8,000 and 30,000 miles. It has happened on so many that there are a few class action law suits against. I’m not advocating that I’m saying fix the problem before it happens. You can find the steps right here
http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/sho...2&page=1&pp=25 Just a few extra things you should know 1. If you have the stock air box on you should remove it to give you some extra room to work with. It takes a Philips screw driver to take off two clamps remove the upper part of the air box then grab a ratchet an extender and a 10mm socket take out three bolts and remove the lower air box now you can get to the transmission. 2. If on the centering bolt it isn’t marked what way the pin goes through, mark it and save a second or two instead of blindly trying to find the hole later. 3. If the centering bolt looks like it needs it lube it up when putting it back in. 4. Don’t for get to use loctite on the bracket bolts (the transmission vibrates a bit and the air box is mounted on a motor mount. 5. The valve looks like a little spring with a little metal cap on the end with a pin hole in it. (The design flaw is blaring) It takes about 45 min if you’re hammered and the clutch feels so much better afterward and it saves you clutch repairs get to your garage and do it NOTE: MANY HYUNDAI VEICHLES HAVE THIS V6 TIBURONS, ELANTRAS ACCENTS AND MORE IF IT TURNS OUT YOU OPEN UP THIS AND YOU DON’T HAVE THE PART JUST THINK YOU NEEDED TO CHANGE THE FLUID ANYWAY … If you have any questions you can ask me or post on newtiburon.com
