Default 2005 ford f250 6.8

hi im new to the forum and i have a question about switching programer from one truck same year to another and replaceing chip what do i need to know?

Hello and Welcome to PSO. Theres a big depends on that... some times theres a access panel on the PCM that you can pull a chip out of if its one you can change out. If its a reprogramer im not sure you can use it on different vehicals. I guess if you can pull the program back into the unit then you should be able to put it in something else. But its been a wile sence i messed with that sort of thing so im not sure about how the work now

welcome you will want to message John@Prostreet thats his username on here, prostreet does Diablosport and hypertech tuning. I see trucks pulling in and out of prostreet all the time for tuning.
