Exclamation 3G eclipse

well i have a 3rd gen eclipse GT 3.0L v-6 and i have a test tube and a custom made catback on it but the only problem is that i cant happen to find headers or a downpipe to complete the system so if anyone can direct me where to find them that would be awsome...and anyone who has one tell me what other mods i should do before puttin in a nitrous kit . . . is it possible to run it on a kinda stock engine...all i have is a short ram intake, irridium slugs and 8.5mm wires...i think thats it...but if you look at my profile i have a list of everything done so maybe you can give me some suggestions that will help me out befor i spend 3500 on a turbo kit or 900 on a nitrous kit...

thanks any help is greatly appreciated

If your planning on a turbo kit you should think about your lower end, and how much boost you want to run. Small amounts of boost will be ok on a stock engine. But really you want to put in a computer/chip and some injectors maybe a high volume fuel pump. Nitrous is kinda the same issue. To my understanding a 75 shot or less and you don't need any mods and you can run a dry system. anything over that and you will need to go wet. A good fogger kit. High shots will also have you looking for intertals.. cams, and what not.

check out www.club3g.com you will find lots of useful info there and i know that a very reputable company makes some nice headers and downpipe for your car but i cant think of the name. if you go to club3g you will be able to find some good stuff quick.

you dont really have to go to my page. the company is CMF. they are pretty popular in the world of 3g eclipses and they have very significant gains with just their headers. i believe it is somewhere around 20whp on a 4cyl so i would like to see what it can do for the v6.

nitrous is completely possible on a stock engine, its all about tuning. Find a reputable shop in your area with a dyno. make sure to ask them about retarding your timing for nitrous use. GL

get a zex kit, i've had several different kits, and the zex has been the best, their dry kit is just about foolproof and it's also the safest

I'm not gonna say i know exactly what a Dual stage Kit is but i think i remember hearing something about it being a better conrtolled flow or something. I would say thought go with the 50, to be safer on your engine.

If you dont go too overkill on the nitrous, maybe a 50 shot (50hp) the engine will be able to withstand the added boost for awhile. Possibly a 100 shot. Engines are built to withstand more than what they come with from the factory, obviously to make it more reliable. My 99 eclipse engine 2.0 I-4 is stock with 140hp but will withstand about 275hp. Almost double. but thats my engine (chrysler) dont know about those Mitsubishi engines, but it'll for sure withstand a 50 shot. But dont use it every night. At least until you upgrade pistons, rods, piston rings, maybe a higher performance head. That should be about it. Maybe a couple other things i couldnt think of at the moment Good luck!
