hi....... and sorry that i can't help on that subject.
okay nevermind i'm checking something right now...... disable the airbags, disconect the negative battery cable.remove sterring column upper and lower covers and under cover.
if necessary, unbolt the steering column and lower it for access to the lock cylinder bolts.
the lock cylinder is secured by break-off bolts, to remove cut a screwdriver slot in the top of each bolt with a hammer and chisel, then unscrew the bolts.
another method is to drive the bolts in a counterclockwise direction with the hammer and chisel.once the bolts are removed, lower the lock cylinder away from the steering column.
install the new lock cylinder and secure it with two new break-off bolts, tightening them until heads snap off.the remainder of the installation is the reverse of removal.and don't forget to wait for the backup energy/electricity to run out.

o and turn the ignition key to lock ,to prevent accidental airbag deployment.( i read this in the manual on......miata. so it might be different.)

take off your positive battery terminal, undo the center column, there should be 3 screws holding the center column together, ( one behind the tilt lever if you have tilt ) there are 2 10 mm bolts holding the lock cylinder into your column, undo those and the entire key assembly will slide out. good luck!
