autox is boring IMO. Go out there for 3 - 5 times for 60 seconds each? Whats the fun in that.
Track events is where its at - 20min sessions, racing against other cars and not just the clock. A billion times more fun....also a billion times more expensive and harder on tires/brakes/motor. Well worth it! liam |

Autocrossing is way more convenient and cheaper. Plus it helps your reflexes since you are reacting quicker than you would do on a roadcourse. I do agree though, an actual track is more fun, but autocrossing is more convenient.

i vote for road racing! can't beat it. candy canes, braking zones, elevation changes, race gas on the premesis, driving 4 hours and partying in the motel the night before, can't beat it!

i had been doing a little autocrossing and i thought it was great. I mostly do it as a vent to all the stress from school luckly my school hosts some autox events here. But my aunt for a birthday gift set me up with a track day at NHIS last summer and eversince then i can't get enough.

i love auto-x! It's very cheap, which is important for a 17 year old with no job ><. They are also fairly safe, all the club auto-x's that i have done have been set up as far away from poles and dumpsters as they can.

autocross is the shat, i like have left and right turns, long sweeping turns that turn into tight hairpin turns. it keeps the driver looking the pefect line to follow. def good racing for proper seat time. once u throw in elivated factors and banked turns road racing has it hands down. in my opinion for the slightly more experienced.
