Default 2008 Vw R32

"The R32’s power comes from a 3.2 L naturally aspirated 15-degree narrow angle V6 engine. With 250 horsepower and 236 ft. lbs. of torque, the R32 is all muscle. The standard 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system transfers at least 75 percent of available torque to the rear wheels. Volkswagen’s acclaimed DSG® transmission allows for seamless gear changes and accelerates from 0-60 in approximately 6.4 seconds."

MSRP 32,990

NAV: 1800

How can VW sell these overpriced slow golfs for so much? For that price you could get a 306hp G35 awd, which is much faster and nicer in everyway. 0-60 in 6.4 secs with a awd is just about pathetic when the current Camrys can run 5.9secs with 99mph traps. It would have been much more reasonable to ask 33k if they brought the R36 with 300hp but @ this powerlevels and price, seems like the ultimate poser mobile.

I actually got to test drove the r32. It feels great and handles like it's on rails. However, the power was ehh to say the least. It's has great low end torque but up top it fails miserably. The price is ridiculously overpriced. With 33G's I could get an EVO, STI, 350z, g35...etc. Why the hell would i want to pay STI prices for a car that competes with the WRX? VW needs to get off their high horse and find reality.

i agree, the r32 is a nice ride, but not for that price. could have at least gone with a blower on it
