Default glass packs?

who has experience with glass packs? just wondering how much louder they are than stock exhaust. i basically want something that won't restrict exhaust flow at all and is compact like a glass pack but not to loud.

Glass packs are loud!!! On old cars in the 60's that was the only muffler they made. On a taurus though it would make a nasty sound not like the old V8's. Us muscle car lovers can hear a glasspack on a new car a mile away and it's what we call a fart can it doesnt increase performance to much if you want to increase performance and be loud run strait pipes to the back but with a bigger diameter than your old pipes.

wow, thanks for the warning!!! i think i'll just cut off my muffler and see how it sounds, if its to loud i'll get something to quiet it down.

i've got 3.0 liters though, that should sound better than a ricer shouldn't it?

hahaha, i already have a cheap muffler, the stock one lol. i'm not looking to get louder, just more performance. some noise would be nice though, my car is whisper quiet right now.

Hey i've found that sleepers are way cooler cuz you can suprise someone so bad get their hopes up and then they see your ass end and start crying. unless you have an old muscle car then you have to make er' loud.
