Default New to street tuners

Hello all car freak's i am new to the street tuner market and am asking for help from anyone in the loop. I just purchased a 1993 acura integra rs, it is in great shape body wise and has only 185,000 km or about 70,000 m on the engine, i installed a cold air intake platinum plug's 8 mm performance wires and a new rotor and cap, what would be my next step. I want to get as much pony's as i can but want to keep it safe and well handling, any help would be much appreciated, thank you ** BILL ORCHARD **

I would say work on your handling next with a nice wheel and tire combo and brake rotor, caliper, and piston upgrade

Yeah, STechs are a good bargain, and make the car look and handle much better.

Welcome!

what are you looking to do with the car?

motor swap and/or turbo will get you the power you need for track. rebuilding the motor specifically for turbo will produce much greater benefit, if you're really serious.

turboing the motor you have is probably good enough for just daily driving, if that's even worth the hassle to you.

for road racing, nothing less than coilovers will suffice for suspension. for wheels go with 17 x 8 or so, if it fits. get the widest that will fit. and get some awesome tires like falken rt-615's

for drag you can get away with just springs and shocks, or even just springs. soft is good.
for wheels, get something small up front. 15" at the biggest, so you can run tires with a huge sidewall.

for daily, i think shocks/springs would work fine. how stiff and how low depends on roads where you live. 17" wheels with falken st-115's or bridgestone S-03's would be great, if you can find them.
