A customer came to us a few days ago, and wanted us to swap out his Nismo cold air intake on his Nissan 350Z for a brand new Weapon R Secret Weapon Intake.
Here is the 350Z: ![]() We sell the Weapon R intakes here: http://www.prostreetonline.com/weapo...n_intakes.html This is the part number we used: http://www.prostreetonline.com/sku/304-123-101.html The Nismo cold air intake that we removed only had 15,000 miles on it, and it looked destroyed. The air filter was collapsing, and the brace holding the filter to the car was lose, and rattling. Here are some pictures of the old Nismo cold air intake: ![]() ![]() ![]() The customer was surprised the intake was so worn and destroyed and was happy he was replacing the entire intake and not just the air filter. He also complained that the Nismo air intake would bang against his fender, and make a lot of noises when he would accelerate. Below you can see pictures of the Secret Weapon intake: ![]() ![]() Our customer will come back to us later for us to dyno test him, and we will post the results here. You can read about the Weapon R intake here and its technology (just scroll down): http://www.prostreetonline.com/weapo...n_intakes.html |

I installed the Weapon R Dragon intake on my ride and absolutely love it! I wanted the torque/whp boost in the lower rpm range and this accomplished just that!

I'm not so sure that foam will last any longer, and it will let more dust through than an oiled K/N type filter. It wont be as bad as the old intake for noise because it's not metal on metal, now it's plastic and we all know that lasts forever.... ; (
Too bad he spent all this money and still doesn't have a CAI outside the engine compartment. You can always just leave the filter off entirely and gain another 2whp! Yeah! Now that's dangerous! Aw yeah. Ahem.... don't do that.
