Default C.A.R.B. Cold Air Intake?

Hey whats up everyone? Hope everyone is having a great Christmas!
I wanted to know, if anyone knew a cold air intake carb approved for cheap?
If you know someone or have the hook ups some place for the cold air intake, let me know! I need to get one because the one i have is short ram and its not carb legal

Thanks!

Samantha

ummm im not sure i dont do the legal smog thing.. but i would venture to say that there companies that claim carb legal but when it comes down to it none of them are. here in va it is pretty much illegal to change anything from stock on the car.. we just have to say f@ck it and take the risk for the extra ponies

ive gotta ? myself.. these companies claim to be legal in all 50 states, well a guy around here in an accord had his car searched one day like 3 years ago. he had a 99 v6 accord w/ a aem cold air intake, greddy exhaust and some pulleys. also had window tint. they pulled him over for the window tint and then got him for aftermarket exhaust then ridin w/o a hood, thy saw his CAI and gotta ticket for that. i know the tint was illegal, but according to greddy and aem those parts are"50 state legal" he tried to fight it by saying that but judge laid down the law on him

then he needs to keep fighting. if the judge is right, he needs to sue the manufacturer for false advertising.

Be real.
When is the Justice system right.
To protect and serve?
Yeah, their own kind.
Seriously, you'll never win with local laws or their enforcement because most are crooked and make a dollar out of being the "law".
Courts, cops, and judges suck.
Nuff said.

Oh, did I say I hate cops??

I had a friend who fabricated his own CAI (tube) and bought a AEM cone filter (basically a K&N w/ AEM label)... He phoned AEM and claimed that he did not receive the CARB sticker with the CAI and the people of AEM actually sent him a set of CARB certi... I'm not telling you to do it but that's one possible situation it might happen...

sticker was on the intake right b4 the throttle body.... to be blunt.. pretty much it is illegal to modify anything on your car in the commonwealth state. if its not oem its illegal, obviously even if it is "50 state legal"

I guess if I ever pass through the commonwealth states, I'll be ready to get pulled over alot.
Then again, they can't give me a ticket if I don't live there. At least I hope not.

I'm privileged to live where they don't check for that kind of bull.
I've heard of the horror strories of "rice police" that are dedicated to check for carb certification with gauges, exhaust hookup for emissions, and just about everything to say that your car is illegal and you're going to pay for it.

Not this person.
They can suck a n*d for all I'm concerned.
I plan on doing some traveling this coming Summer in '07 and hope this doesn't occur.
If so, will have to deal with whatever happens.
