Default How to replace the distributor seal? (Honda Accord LX 4Dr 1993)

Is any one familiar with the procedure to replace the seal? There is engine oil inside of distributor and cap.

It's really easy. Remove the 3 bolts holding the distributor to the head.

As you pull it off, you'll see a rubber o-ring that goes over the "sensor". Replace that o-ring

Shouldn't take any longer than 10 minutes. Yeah, if there is oil inside of your distributor and cap, not only is it bad, but you should get a new cap, new rotor, and new seal.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the reply.

I know how to replace the cap and rotor. However I don't know how to replace the seal you were talking about? Where is the seal? Is it different from the O Ring? Thanks for any help.

According to the previous reply from "beak", they are different. o-ring is outside of distributor but seal is inside around bearings. I am not sure. My problem is that engine oil is leaking from inside of distributor. Please help. Thanks.
