LS2 Engine Specifications

The first of the GEN IV GM engines in the LS family, the LS2 was standard in the Pontiac G8 GT as well as the Chevy Corvette, GTO and SSR as well as other GM offerings. LS2 engines are terrific choices for engine swap candidates, and can accept LS1, LS6, LS3 and L92 cylinder heads as well as many other parts they share with the GEN III.

We’ll be taking a look at LS2 Specifications from the cylinder heads to the block, please let us know if we’ve missed any LS2 Specifications you would like to see.

    • Hi Gary! Thanks for reading!

Which car, truck or van did your iron LS2 6.0 liter come out of? there’s quite a few variations that would only be tracked down using part numbers. The 6.0 liter does have a lot of differences in cam height but mostly to LSA from one model to another. Let us know and we’ll try to help you out! Thanks for commenting!
